NetLedger launches certified consultant program

San Mateo, CA—April 17, 2001—NetLedger, Inc., the leader in Web-based solutions that streamline small businesses and help them succeed, today announced the launch of the NetLedger Certified Consultant Program, the first and the only certification program in its category available for accounting and other business professionals.

NetLedger designed this program to officially certify accounting and other business professionals as NetLedger experts. With the knowledge gained from this program, these professionals will be in a more powerful and capable position to offer expert advice to their existing and potential clients. Moreover, the program will create additional business opportunities by listing certified consultants in the NetLedger Consultants Directory on the NetLedger Web site.

To become certified, interested professionals can fill out an online application, take an online exam, and become a NetLedger Certified Consultant upon successful completion of the exam.

Once certified, they can enjoy these key benefits:

  • Two FREE full-featured NetLedger accounts with up to 5 users for each account, including accounting, payroll, online commerce, employee access, and CRM
  • Unlimited single-user NetLedger accounts with accounting and payroll for consultants' personal use only (Payroll includes tax tables for all 50 states)
  • Introduction to NetLedger Guide
  • Listing in the NetLedger Certified Consultant Directory - a directory available to all NetLedger users who want local professional assistance from the certified along with a link from the directory to each consultant's Web site
  • Co-Branded NetLedger edition for consultants' clients
  • Priority e-mail/phone support exclusive to Certified Consultants
  • Use of the NetLedger Certified Consultant logo
  • "The NetLedger Certified Consultant Program is specifically designed to help accounting and other small business professionals grow their business. They will be able to enhance their consulting practice by recommending a complete business management tool, " said Evan Goldberg, president and CEO of NetLedger, Inc. "This program benefits both accountants and small business expert advisors, who are increasingly migrating their practices online, and small business customers, who rely on the expertise of professionals to guide them in their use of accounting and small business management technology."

Florida C.P.A. Mike Block, a prominent QuickBooks specialist (www.blocktax.com), commented, "Two-thirds of my clients will use NetLedger this year. We will save lots of time, money and aggravation by not having to transfer files, stop the work of clients or make them stop their work for us. And the Certified Consultant program is just what I need to go out and win new business."

The annual membership is free for the first year for those who apply for the NetLedger online exam before May 1, 2001. Effective May 1, the yearly membership is $495.00 per individual, with annual renewals of $295.00.
