NetSuite and Fluxx partner to deliver the first cloud-based suite for managing grant making operations

End-to-End Integration of Front-Office Grants Management and Back-Office Accounting, CRM and ERP Provides Real-Time Visibility for Grant Making organisations of All Sizes

SAN MATEO, Calif.—November 12, 2013—NetSuite Inc. (NYSE: N), the industry's leading provider of cloud-based financials / ERP and omnichannel commerce software suites, today announced that NetSuite and Fluxx Labs, a leading provider of grants management software to philanthropic organisations, have partnered to offer an integrated solution to streamline the operations of foundations, nonprofits and philanthropic organisations. The integration, built using NetSuite's SuiteCloud development platform, merges grant operations data and financial transactions data seamlessly in real-time.

For the first time, with the combined solution, foundations can manage all their mission critical business operations in the cloud and access the power, flexibility and agility of cloud-based systems to transform their operations and more effectively pursue their missions. As organisations perform constituent relationship management (CRM), grant making and accounting tasks, the two product suites stay synchronized, allowing users to make crucial decisions based on up-to-the-moment reports, dashboard and transaction screens. The NetSuite-Fluxx integration eliminates the inefficiency and error-prone double entry of having two sets of books, one from the grants management system and one from the accounting system, common to foundations.

Understanding the people associated with applicants and grantees is a critical CRM challenge for foundations. In making funding decisions, foundations need to accurately track staff turnover, board memberships and other relationships among applicants and grantees. The NetSuite-Fluxx integration maintains a central CRM record of every applicant to track interactions, relationships and other CRM data, including critical information directly from the Fluxx grants management system.

"NetSuite has made a strategic commitment to serve foundations and nonprofits with our world-class technology and services and we've identified grant making as an important business process in the sector," said David Geilhufe, Director of NetSuite.org at NetSuite. "After evaluating a number of partners, Fluxx's modern, feature-rich, flexible platform for front-office operations and its commitment to customer success made them an obvious technology and business partner for NetSuite."

"NetSuite is the industry leader in cloud-based business management software suites and their decision to integrate with Fluxx affirms our emergence as the leading technology provider to the philanthropic community," said Jason Ricci, CEO of Fluxx Labs. "The deep integration of Fluxx and NetSuite creates a comprehensive, cloud-based solution for foundations of any size."

The Energy Foundation is an early adopter of the integration. As a partnership of 16 philanthropic investors and one of the largest re-granting foundations in the world, the Energy Foundation evaluated a number of solutions to address its need for real-time integration between its grant making and financial systems. "The NetSuite-Fluxx solution has integrated our fund-raising operations and grant-making with our back-office operations for the first time," said Barbara Wagner, SVP and COO of the Energy Foundation. "It's the first comprehensive, end-to-end solution for the operation of philanthropic organisations and we’re excited to be among its earliest users."
