Top Australian digital agency embraces NetSuite SuiteCommerce

BlueArc Partners with NetSuite to Merge Creative Design with SuiteCommerce Platform

Sydney, Australia—9 October 2012—NetSuite Inc. (NYSE: N), the industry's leading provider of cloud-based financials / ERP software suites, today announced a partnership with Australian digital agency BlueArc, to support the NetSuite SuiteCommerce platform. BlueArc joined the new NetSuite Agency Program, an international alliance of leading creative digital agencies that have teamed with NetSuite to provide commerce businesses with the chance to combine superior interactivity, functionality and aesthetics, with the highly flexible web storefront and unique back-office integration of NetSuite's SuiteCommerce platform.

SuiteCommerce is designed to address the limitations and complexity of first-generation commerce systems, enabling businesses to streamline business processes, grow relationships using built-in marketing tools and immerse customers in a richly interactive and intuitive shopping experience. It operates directly on the core NetSuite Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) and Customer Relationship Management (CRM) business management application.

"This breakthrough platform resolves the problem of broken or disjointed customer experiences inherent in many multi-channel retail systems, by unifying all touchpoints into a single, cloud-based business system," said Zach Nelson, CEO of NetSuite. "By hand-picking the very best commerce design agencies as partners around the world, NetSuite can offer customers an enterprise-grade, multi-channel retailing strategy that is as easy and cost-effective to deploy as an out-of-box solution."

Sydney-based BlueArc is renowned for its record of delivering web content management, eCommerce and mobile solutions in Australia. Its clients include Jigsaw, Sydney Cricket and Sports Ground Trust, Pepper Tree Wines, MARCs, JAG, Harvey Norman Commercial, Australian Institute of Company Directors, Freedom Furniture, Diana Ferrari, among many other well-known brands.

"With overall retail sales growth weakening in Australia, most traditional retailers know that multi-channel retailing is no longer nice to have, but an essential survival strategy," said Scott Porter, CEO of BlueArc. "Our partnership with NetSuite offers businesses a complete commerce solution, starting with a digital strategy and website design, right through to order fulfilment and backend business management. It takes care of all the components needed for a successful multi-channel business, so it is no longer the costly, daunting challenge it has been in the past."

As a creative partner, BlueArc can offer NetSuite's customers digital strategy, website design, development, content management, search engine optimisation (SEO) and hosting services, which sit at the frontend of the NetSuite SuiteCommerce platform. The platform, on the other hand, gives both BlueArc and B2B/B2C companies the robust customisation they need for eCommerce design and functionality, as well as powerful prebuilt features, such as guided search and navigation, single-page checkout, product quick views and dynamic merchandising. Optimisation for leading smartphones and tablets, along with traditional www domains, enables commerce companies to provide a device-specific yet consistent experience across multiple channels.

"The complete integration between multiple storefronts and the back office to deliver a fantastic shopping experience is a powerful combination that the NetSuite Agency Program offers businesses looking for leading agency expertise and a commerce platform," added Mr. Nelson. "It is the perfect way for commerce businesses to make the most of their extensive data in a tailored and uncompromising commerce presentation for their customers."

SuiteCommerce plays an integral role in NetSuite's "Commerce as a Service" (CaaS) initiative. It aims to provide commerce businesses with a central system to manage all transactions with consumers and other businesses on multiple touchpoints (website, smart phone, tablet, in-store, social media site, etc.), to deliver a unified multichannel customer experience. Integration with back-office financials, CRM and order and inventory management allows companies to improve business efficiency, leverage customer data to deliver a personal shopping experience based on purchase history, and use product data for strategic merchandising (for example, promoting high-margin products or excess inventory).

Today, more than 12,000 companies and subsidiaries depend on NetSuite to run complex, mission-critical business processes globally in the cloud. Since its inception in 1998, NetSuite has established itself as the leading provider of enterprise-class cloud ERP suites for divisions of large enterprises and mid-sized organisations seeking to upgrade outdated client/server ERP systems. NetSuite excels at streamlining business operations, as demonstrated in a recent Gartner study naming NetSuite as the fastest growing top ten financial management systems vendor in the world. NetSuite has continued its success in delivering the best cloud ERP/financials suites to businesses around the world, enabling them to lower IT costs significantly while increasing productivity, as the global adoption of cloud is accelerating.
