NetSuite Manages Over 1,000 Multi-Channel and Multiple-Site Orders Per Day — Including eBay and Amazon.com — from Online Store to Order Management to Shipping to Customer Support / Customer Service with NetSuite Ecommerce Software
SAN MATEO, Calif. and SOUTH PLAINFIELD, N.J.—April 3, 2008—NetSuite Inc. (NYSE: N - News), a vendor of on-demand, integrated business management software suites that provide Accounting / ERP (Enterprise Resource Planning), CRM (Customer Relationship Management) and Ecommerce software for small business, medium-sized organisations and divisions of large companies announced that DOD Marketing Inc., a subsidiary of Accoona Corp. and operator of numerous consumer electronics and lifestyle ecommerce web sites with $150 million in annual revenue, has integrated its business operations on NetSuite. With NetSuite, DOD Marketing manages rapidly growing online store sales and transactions while reducing reliance on administrative staff and cutting inventory management costs. DOD Marketing relies on NetSuite to help support almost every aspect of its high-volume online store sales business. General ledger accounting, inventory management, marketing, ecommerce (externally hosted online stores integrated with NetSuite) and retail online store sales, shipping and fulfilment, and customer service are all managed through the integrated NetSuite platform. Over 1,000 online orders per day, ranging from cameras to big-screen TVs, are entered, picked, packed, and shipped through a variety of parcel and LTL carriers.
"Prior to adopting NetSuite, DOD Marketing employed Devix and QuickBooks, but integration was weak and inventory management controls and procedures were almost nonexistent, which created hazards for ongoing growth," said Metin Ozkuzey, President, DOD Marketing. "As our business grew, it was imperative for DOD Marketing to have an integrated system which could track all of our online store customer orders and financial and accounting operations seamlessly."
Thanks to NetSuite's customisation abilities via SuiteFlex, a key component of NS - BOS (NetSuite Business Operating System), all of DOD Marketing's channels, comprising five ecommerce sites (including www.butterflyphoto.com, www.nyliving.com and www.bestbuyplasma.com), a busy contact centre, and a retail location, are tightly integrated, sharing inventory management, customer data, and accounting / financials. This unified visibility has improved DOD Marketing's inventory turnover, as well as boosting the quality of marketing messaging and customer satisfaction. Because NetSuite is integrated into both the customer self-service ordering system and the agent display, and is available on-demand from any Internet-connected computer, there is never any concern about data synchronisation or loss.
NetSuite has also helped DOD Marketing expand its range of online payment processing options. Not only does the solution provide better merchant bank and PayPal integration than its previous operations platform, but DOD can also now process gift cards and special discount coupons. In addition, the company's eBay and Amazon Web stores are seamlessly linked to the core customer and product databases. Instead of operating each channel and site as a separate business entity as it was forced to with previous business management software, DOD Marketing enjoys the benefits of unified inventory management, clearer sales reporting, and streamlined commissions payments to its trained sales force. The customer record integration provided by NetSuite help make DOD's outbound marketing and upselling calls more effective, because agents now have a clear view of the entire customer relationship history.
NetSuite delivered quick, sustainable results to the DOD Marketing organisation, which have poised the company for continued growth and greater success. "If we had gone with another system, we believe it would have taken twice as long to implement, and we didn't have the luxury of waiting," Ozkuzey said. "Both the fast implementation and the cost made NetSuite our best choice."
