NetSuite sponsors 2013 North American Moguls Champ Bruce Perry Jr.

Youngest Mogul Athlete on the U.S. Ski Team and a Hopeful for 2018 Olympics

SAN MATEO, Calif.—March 20, 2015—NetSuite Inc. (NYSE: N), the industry's leading provider of cloud-based financials / ERP and omnichannel commerce software suites, today announced that it is sponsoring Bruce Perry Jr. who, at 19 years old, is a professional mogul skier, the youngest mogul athlete on the U.S. Ski Team, and a hopeful for the XXIII Olympic Winter Games due to take place in PyeongChang, South Korea in February 2018. Mogul skiing is particularly challenging and demanding, requiring skiers to not only demonstrate speed but also technical skill in executing aerial manoeuvres as they negotiate a steep bumpy course during a single timed run. As part of the NetSuite sponsorship, Perry sports a NetSuite logo on his ski helmet. NetSuite joins an elite list of sponsors including Columbia, Dalbello, Giro, Marker, Oakley and Volkl.

Skiing since he was two years old, Perry is from Winter Park, Colorado. He started competing in moguls at the tender age of five which is also when his ambitions to become a champion professional skier began. Perry is now in his second year on the U.S. Ski Team and his events are the Freestyle Moguls and the Dual Moguls. He is currently ranked in sixth position among his U.S. peers. "At NetSuite, we are all about nurturing promising young talent," said Fred Studer, NetSuite Chief Marketing Officer. "Bruce is already amazingly talented and has achieved much success. We hope that, with our sponsorship, we can help him realise his full potential."

In late February, Perry won second place in the Dual Moguls and third place in the Moguls events at the Federation Internationale de Ski (FIS) Freestyle Ski NorAm Cup in Val Saint-Come in Quebec, Canada. Perry's next major competition is the FIS Freestyle Junior World Ski Championships taking place in Valmalenco, Italy, from March 24 through April 1. Perry is due to compete in two events in Valmalenco, the Moguls (March 25) and the Dual Moguls (March 26).

"I'm very proud to officially represent NetSuite and I really appreciate the trust the company has placed in me with the sponsorship," said Perry. "Competing professionally and representing the U.S. in global championships is what I've worked for my entire life. I'm grateful to NetSuite and my other sponsors to enable me to make the dreams I had since I was five years old a reality."

Perry's Winter Olympics 2014 ambitions were thwarted in the run-up to the Sochi games when he broke his tibia but he quickly returned to top form as demonstrated by his competitive achievements to date this year. Perry's career highlights include:

  • 2015
    • NorAm Cup: Val Sainte-Come, Quebec – 2nd Place, Dual Moguls; 3rd Place, Moguls

"Bruce competes at the elite level of our sport and continues to prove that he is capable to be competitive at this level," said Todd Schirman, Freestyle Program Director at the U.S. Ski Team, the United States Ski and Snowboard Association (USSA). "Bruce has character that is contagious and represents his supporters such as NetSuite at the highest levels."
